Still Waters Run Deep
2022
With the rapid evolution of our species, humanity's bond with the natural world is disengaged and incoherent. Through deep engagement with a non human space, these images illustrate a conversation with ancient woodland and the relearning of a natural language that we have long forgotten how to speak. Our human bond with the land is now at its weakest, and this work highlights how we must be attentive to the voice of nature, in order to rebuild the connection we have lost.
The images sit alongside a publication of poetry and illustrations.
